What People Are Saying:
"Now working with Emily has contributed significantly to my growth as a corporate service manager. I've been able to see how she tackles, you know, challenges and things that are thrown her way with a lot of confidence, which actually makes me want to be just like her by prioritizing what I do and also making me push myself to become a better person. Emily has created an environment where feedback is both constructive and supportive, which has pushed me to elevate my performance and take ownership of my responsibilities.
So Emily has an open door policy, so you can always go to her whenever you're struggling with a situation and she will be more than happy to assist you. So this has actually overall given me such a good experience to deepen my relationship and my leadership with the team. What excites me the most about the vision and the commitment that Emily has is it propels me to do better and to support people with disabilities because I know it doesn't just start here and it doesn't continue here, it goes beyond not just Australia but also Kenya and to America and to the rest of the world.
So I am actually motivated to be able to just have that little impact that Emily emulates because she does so much with people with disabilities and it's an honour to be a part of the team and to empower people and continue with the dream and the vision."

"There are many ways that Emily has impacted me, but I think one of the most moving things is to hear her anytime that she shares her story. Her origin narrative, her cultural narrative, her corporate narrative and her health narrative were not always struggles of choice, but she has chosen to use those struggles to make an impact in the lives of others and in order to help them change their narrative. I would describe Emily's leadership as entrepreneurial.
There's times I'll walk into her office and I'll just see a look in her eye that tells me she has been dreaming big and things are about to move and she is constantly looking for ways and thinking of ways that she can move us forward and to expand the difference that we're making in the lives of people. I think she's very inclusive as well. She has this way of drawing people in but also making room for them and so it's very much a case of her not competing with the people that are around her but seeking to work collaboratively with them and I would definitely describe her leadership as vision driven.
It's not something that she does nine to five when she's in the office but she lives her vision, she lives leadership and she's constantly finding ways and interacting with people to bring us forward. I know that Emily receives communication from a number of sources, an immense amount of communication and yet there's times where she'll see something and she'll respond with such determination and with a requirement for immediate action. Every time I look behind that I can see that she has recognised that one of our participants has been treated with indignity or with disrespect.
I don't see her act stronger about anything else and I don't see her tolerating it ever and it's one of the things that inspires me to know that at the bedrock of our leadership is the desire to see our participants live well and thrive. What motivates me to turn up every day and work as a part of Emily's team? It's knowing that I can never overtake her for passion, I can never overtake her for energy. No matter what I give she is giving more and she is giving further.
I find that inspiring."

"Emily has provided me with a meaningful career where I can live out my values in practical ways. Emily has provided opportunities for people to utilise their gifts and strengths. Number two, approachable.
I've never worked in a company where the CEO's office is regularly open and they're willing to engage in both professional and personal conversations. And number three, bold. She embraces opportunities and takes calculated risks to drive growth within the company.
Emily implemented daily gratitude sessions in our office where everyone from the CEO and director to the placement students come together during business hours to share one thing they're grateful for. I believe this practice has really strengthened the team's cohesion. Emily's limitless vision inspires me.
She provides us workers with opportunities to contribute to society in such a positive way. Her well-deserved recognition, including the Order of Australia, it makes me honoured to be a part of a company that's led by her."
