Born to a teenage mother as a result of rape, Emily turned personal adversity into a mission to uplift women, migrants, and people with disabilities worldwide.
After surviving a massive stroke in 2012, defying doctors’ predictions, Emily co-founded BET Group and the BET Foundation, award-winning organizations advancing accessible housing, disability inclusion, and gender justice across Australia and Africa.
